Babylon by Bus

Presenting an all-access, inside-out view of what the American occupation of Iraq really looks like on the ground, Babylon by Bus is the story of two young Americans who went to Baghdad without any real plan and discovered they weren't the only ones. Seeking deeper fulfillment than they had selling "Yankees Suck" T-shirts, Ray and Jeff found work with the coalition Provisional Authority providing humanitarian aid to the Iraqi people. Underqualified but ingenious, they used their freewheeling entrepreneurial skills for good amid an appalling atmosphere of corruption, incompetence, and chaos. Gritty and irreverent, this is a wild tour of the real Iraq, both of a very different Green Zone than we've seen and a Red Zone beyond it that all too few American civilians saw at all.
