Nope—your next great read doesn’t come with a commitment. You can check out as a guest or create a Book Outlet account, it’s totally up to you.

If you’re in a hurry, guest checkout is quick and easy. But creating an account comes with a few perks worth bookmarking: you can track your order status, view your order history, and opt in to our loyalty program to earn rewards for future finds.
Guest checkout is fast – just enter your shipping and payment info and you're done. Perfect if you're in a hurry!

Creating an account unlocks perks:

*Earn Rewards points on every purchase (1 point per $2 spent);
*Easy order tracking and complete order history;
*Faster checkout with saved addresses;
*Use gift cards from your Gift Card Wallet;
*Wishlist to track out-of-stock items;
*Save items in cart permanently;
*Manage returns and exchanges; and
*Get 10 bonus points just for signing up!
If you create an account from your order confirmation page, we'll automatically link that guest order to your new account.

Already left the confirmation page? No worries – your order details are still in your confirmation email, but that specific order won't appear in your My Orders. All future orders placed with your account will be tracked there, though!
To update your email address:

1. Head to your Account Details;
2. Click "Edit Info" under "Personal Information";
3. Under "About Me", update the Email Address field; and
4. Click "Update" to save your changes. 

You'll use your new email address to log in next time.
To update your password:

1. Head to your Account Details;
2. Click "Edit Info" under "Personal Information";
3. Under "Account Security", click "Change Password";
4. Enter your current password, your new password and confirm your new password; and
5. Click "Update" to save.


Make sure to use something secure – but memorable enough that you won't lock yourself out mid-book haul!
Think of your wishlist as your personal “books I need in my life” list. Add any title you want — whether it’s in stock now or currently unavailable.

If a book you’ve wishlisted is out of stock, we’ll keep an eye on it for you and send you an email when it’s back on our shelves. 

Heads up! Make sure you’ve opted in to receive Wishlist notifications in your email preferences. If you're not subscribed to emails, we won’t be able to notify you when titles come back in stock.
Even if a book isn’t currently in stock, you can still add it to your wishlist.

While you’re in your wishlist, click the + button and use the search bar to find the title you’re hunting for. Once you spot it in the search results, just click the little heart icon ❤️ to save it to your wishlist. We’ll keep an eye out and notify you if it becomes available.

See a book you want but not quite ready to click 'Add to Cart'? No problem! Just hit the heart icon ❤️

You’ll find it right on the product page or directly below the book listing while you’re browsing. One click, and the book is safely saved to your wishlist for later.
Time for a little wishlist clean-up?

* To remove a single title, click the ellipsis (the three little dots) next to the book and select Delete.
* To remove multiple titles, click the pencil icon, select the books you no longer want, then click Remove Selected at the top.
* To start fresh, click the pencil icon and then hit Remove All to clear your entire wishlist in one go.
Want to drop a hint (or two)? *wink-wink*

Just click the share icon at the top of your wishlist. A link will pop up: copy it, and send it to your friends, family, or anyone who needs a little gift-giving inspiration.
Changing your wishlist email settings is super easy. Just head to Account Details in your account, find your email preferences, and check or uncheck the wishlist option depending on what you want. Don’t forget to click 'Update' to save your changes.

Turn it on to get notified when your dream books are back, or turn it off if your inbox needs a little breathing room.
There are a few easy ways to join our newsletter and stay in the loop on deals, new arrivals, and all things bookish:

1) For account holders, log into your account and head to Account Details to update your email preferences.
2) Scroll to the footer of our website and you’ll find a 'Subscribe to Newsletter' box waiting for your email.
3) Sometimes, you’ll even see a handy pop-up when you visit our site. Just drop your email in there to sign up.

However you do it, welcome to the wonderful world of stacked shelves and saved dollars.

Need a break from our emails? For account holders, you can unsubscribe anytime by heading to your email preferences and unchecking the content you no longer want. Or, if you prefer the quick route, just click 'Unsubscribe' at the bottom of any Book Outlet email. 

Not quite ready to check out with everything in your cart? Hit 'Save for Later' next to the book you want to hold off on. The title will move to the 'Save For Later' section at the bottom of your cart. When you're ready to buy it, just click 'Add to Cart' and it'll pop right back in.

Heads-up for guest shoppers: Saved items are stored in your browser session. If you clear your cookies or browse in private/incognito mode, your saved items may disappear. Want permanent saves? Create a free account!

If the book happens to go out of stock in the meantime, you can always add it to your wishlist by clicking the heart icon (account required). We'll notify you when it's back.
Head to your Account Details and look for the 'Saved Addresses' section. Click 'Edit My Addresses' to open the management page where you can:

*Add a new address and set it as your default for future orders;
*Update existing addresses to keep everything current, or 
*Delete old addresses you no longer need.

One less thing to think about at checkout!
For your security, we don’t store payment information on our website. That means you’ll need to enter your payment details each time you check out, but it’s all about keeping your sensitive info safe and sound.

If you’re looking for a bit more convenience, many web browsers offer secure ways to save your payment details on your device. That way, you get both safety and speed at checkout!
