Ape in a Cape: An Alphabet of Odd Animals

A small child can have no happier introduction to the letters of the alphabet than Ape in a Cape, which Fritz Eichenberg has provided with bold, humorous pictures and simple nonsense rhymes. What young reader could resist the "Bear in despair," trying to ward off a swarm of bees, the "Hare at the fair," doing his turn as a circus barker, or the "Rat with a bat," so obviously a big-league hitter?
